- March 14th: Journaling From your student perspective, what makes a good class? What qualities do you appreciate in a teacher? Be elaborate in your answer. Submit your entry in the "Journaling Entry" form below.
- March 21st: Journaling Write an agreement with yourself regarding this course. How frequently will you be practice teaching (aim for 2+ times weekly!) and how frequently will you be practicing yoga? What do you want to learn from this course? Submit your entry in the "Journaling Entry" form below.
- March 28th: Journaling What qualities make a good sequence? Which postures or series of postures do you enjoy when paired together (list at least 10 sets)? Submit your entry in the "Journaling Entry" form below.
- April 4th: Record yourself practice teaching (15+ minutes) and provide yourself with feedback utilizing the second/bottom Feedback form below.
- April 11th:
- Journaling Describe your teaching style. What makes up your unique offering? Describe yourself specifically and your focus and approach to teaching with enough clarity to decipher who you are referencing between all of your other classmates. Submit your entry in the "Journaling Entry" form below.
- Record yourself practice teaching (25+ minutes) and provide yourself with feedback utilizing the second/bottom form below.
- April 18th: Record yourself practice teaching (30+ minutes) and provide yourself with feedback utilizing the second/bottom form below.
- April 25th: Record yourself practice teaching (35+ minutes) and provide yourself with feedback utilizing the second/bottom form below.
- May 2nd:
- Journaling (1) List 10 secondary cues (inclusive of more than just physical cues) for the posture: Warrior II. (2) List 10 secondary cues for the class theme: Grounding. (3) List 10 secondary cues (inclusive of more than just physical cues) that would be fitting to offer during a one minute plank.
- Record yourself practice teaching (45+ minutes) and provide yourself with feedback utilizing the second/bottom form below.
- May 9th:
- Journaling (1) List 10 secondary cues (inclusive of more than just physical cues) for the posture: Eagle. (2) List 10 secondary cues for the class theme: Creative Movement (These cues will be offered to students in the class to foster the theme. This is not a list of things you will do to create a creative class)
- Record yourself practice teaching (60 minutes) and provide yourself with feedback utilizing the second/bottom form below.
- May 16th:
- Journaling Reflect back on your progress over the course of this module. What have you learned? What will you focus on as you continue to learn? What will your practice teaching schedule, cadence, and commitment look like going forward?
