Latitude 2.0Greetings, Latitude fam! As we near the end of our first decade serving the Chippewa Valley, I am excited to share of a positive transition that has been underway for some time. It is with great joy that I share Reese Wells has stepped forward to lead Latitude 44 Yoga Studio into our next season. Reese has been a valued member of our team for many years and has a deep connection to the community we collectively curate at Latitude.
Yoga, barre, and fitness will remain the studio's focus with key short-term goals to expand all of these offerings. (👉We are hiring for all teacher positions!) And with Reese at the helm, I am pleased to continue my teaching journey and now also assume a role as mentor for Reese. I anticipate it will remain a smooth transition as we continue forward with many exciting things in development! It has been an incredible run as a solo-preneur. With your love for what we do, we were able to pave the way and bring Eau Claire its first full-time/full-service + hot yoga studio. With your passion, we outgrew our space 3x. With your dedication, we beat the odds and survived the pandemic. With your trust, we are only getting better. To flow & plié with nearly 10,000 #yogiswithlatitude to-date... what a gift! We appreciate your support and shared excitement for all that is to come. This new season is affectionately being coined 'Latitude 2.0' and oh, the places we'll go! While much will remain the same, Reese's vision and investments in our second home will bring notable enhancements to the member experience. This journey has been the absolute peak of my past decade. I am forever transformed by our collective growth and eternally thankful to have built so many cherished relationships. This is far from a 'goodbye'... I will still be seeing you in the studio both as teacher and student. With gratitude, Amy Erickson Founder of Latitude 44 Yoga Studio |

A Note from Reese:
I'm so happy and excited to bring Latitude into her newest season with all of you. A decade... a DECADE of helping the Chippewa Valley find true mind-body connection through not only our yoga, but barre and fusion offerings as well. The final part of my training and preparation will be continuing in front of you all, giving time for this joint transition to take place more publicly over the coming weeks.
As I step into this role, I want you all to know that while you have always seen me with my barre or fusion offerings, I will be 200hr certified for yoga offerings by the end of May! I'm very excited to share this with the community and further connect with so many of you here. I truly value retaining a beginner's mindset, remaining forever a student, forever learning. While this is a wonderful mindset to hold on to, we thankfully have a fantastic team of seasoned, experienced teachers for all classes to aide in further expanding our members' wellness journeys.
I look forward to seeing you all so very soon, sharing space and time for breath, movement and rest together.

An Additional (Personal) Note from Amy:
Many of you may understandably be wondering "what's next?" I am excited to share that I will continue to be present in the studio, offering workshops and taking part in the Yoga Study program as Lead Teacher. You will also continue to see both Juno and I dropping in for classes and appreciating this magical space that is Latitude 44 Yoga Studio. And I now also get this incredible opportunity to shift more of my focus to where I'm being called in the current season of life.
This truly bittersweet time of transition follows a long-held reflection on what is persistently pushing forth. As I near my doctoral admittance and dissertation process, I will be investing more time in my studies of Depth Psychology while also establishing an outlet to systematize my research findings, honor personal revelations, and share of advancements in the field that will be digestible for everyday consumption and application. My increasing passion for honoring and strengthening the mind-body continuum has me dreaming up more Dharma Study podcast episodes, online and in-person courses that support soul-space and curious minds, and holding room for the community's "what's next". While this is all very correlated to the work and offerings at Latitude, it's in a specific vein that is asking for more dedicated attention. The team has been incredibly supportive of the news and also sees the great opportunity upon us with Reese stepping forward to lead the studio. The grace and support of our team has opened me up to pour myself into this next chapter, which is also deeply rooted in my dharmic path... with the studio forever being a part of that intricate root system.
I would, of course, love for you to join me on this journey as I expand into "what's next". The threshold is being crossed in real-time, so specifics are forthcoming, but a couple of places to opt in to updates:
While a newsletter is an effective way to broadly share of this change, it inevitably lacks the depth of my gratitude. What we have experienced together over this past (nearly) decade is palpable, it is transformative, and simply stated: profound. I appreciate your presence, your vulnerability, your dedication, and your belief in my abilities to hold space for us to grow together. I have no doubts that these experiences will continue in our collectively curated second home.
I will see you soon!
