Malas are Handmade by Our Founder, Amy Erickson

The malas pictured are of past work and all pieces are sold.  We love creating custom malas to order and also have fresh inventory in the studio at times.  They generally sell quick though so be sure to follow us on social media to be one of the first to know!
Malas of 108 beads are traditionally used as a tool in meditation. The beads are passed along in the hand while the choice mantra or chant is repeated. Returning to the guru bead (large, front bead) is the signifier that the mantra has been repeated 108 times.

[quality] Malas are hand-knotted between each bead and contain beads of wood and precious stones. Each gemstone is said to carry specific properties, energies, and traits which support the wearer (or holder). 108 is a sacred number which is favored by mathematicians and surfaces frequently in sacred texts.

Interested in owning a mala? Our founder, Amy Erickson, hand crafts our selection - designed for you or created by request.
